Montauk Albies and Blues

Fished with Tim, Tiffany, and Zeph in Montauk on Sunday. The weather was way better than forecasted. We started off our morning with an albie in the first five minutes. We caught and released a total of four or five albies on the fly. Then we went looking around for other action and came across a school of bunker being harassed by big blues. We caught four blues from 13-16 pounds. Two were on the fly and two were on spinning rods. We had a few more shots at albies but they wouldn't cooperate and we headed home. Pro Tip: Bait behavior can tell you a lot. The bunker we saw were being pushed by the big blues. There were no birds. However, careful observation told me that there were bigger fish around. We rerigged and quickly caught fish others may have overlooked.
