Montauk

The bass love the rough stuff.

Montauk Continues

Fished with Darryl, Bill, Dave, and Scott in Montauk. Striper blitzes, big sea bass, and albies made for a great trip. Non stop action at times. Pro Tip: When fish are following a fast retrieve but not eating, try stopping suddenly. They can't put on the brakes so they usually commit.

Albies in Sea Isle

Fished with Kevin and Zach in Sea Isle back in the end of August. In addition to a fabulous mahi day, we caught a few albies sight fishing on the way out. Be prepared!

Mahi and Albies

Fished with Joe at the end of August in Sea Isle. I guess I'm behind in my posts. We had a great day with lots of mahi on the fly and a few albies on the troll. It was a great day. Can't wait for next summer! Pro Tip: Letting a fly sink deep can trigger reluctant mahi to bite.

Montauk Day Two

Fished with Ken and Kathie on Day 2 in Montauk. Fishing continues to be excellent with lots of blitzing albies and stripers. We had constant action.

Montauk Fishing

Fished with Ken, Kathie, Todd, and Sheila in Montauk. We had tons of albies on the fly as well as on spinning rods. Fishing was excellent. So were the brie, watercrest, and apricot compote croissant sandwiches. There is a first for everything !

Back Bay Bass

Patty and I snuck out in the back bay behind Sea Isle. We had a good high tide with Sunset. The Striper's were biting on the flats on poppers. Beautiful fishing.

Montauk Blitz

Fished with Mike in Montauk. The Albie bite was tough but we still caught a bunch on the fly. We had blitzing bass that bordered on epic for a few hours as well.

Montauk

The family and I made our initial trip to Montauk mid September. We had epic Albie fishing with stripers, blues, and sea bass to round out the fishing. It was very good. More pics to follow.
