Shark on the Fly

Fished yesterday with Chuck, Gene, Jim, and Molly. We headed out to catch sharks in the ocean. We hooked our first shark less than one minute after the chum bag went in the water. We went on to release a total of seven dusky sharks to about 45 pounds. Jim had requested that I bring the fly rod along to try and catch a shark. It was rigged and ready when a dusky presented himself five feet behind the chum bag. It was cool to watch the shark turn and inhale the fly and then melt line off my ten weight. After a spirited fight we released the dusky boat side. It was a little sporty so we finished the day picking at some fluke in the bay.
