Islamorada Part Two

Fished Sunday with Joe and Bob in the backcountry. We had another banner day with over 100 fish. Specks, jacks, ladyfish, Spanish mackerel, and bluefish were all on the menu. For added excitement we live lined ladyfish for the tarpon and sharks in the area. No tarpon today but we hooked, fought, and released three blacktip sharks to 65 pounds. In addition to the fish we saw rays, sharks, millions of birds, and manatees. We left the backcountry and made two stops on the way home catching some bigger jacks and barracudas to finish out the trip. At the second to last stop we had a bull shark pushing 200 plus pounds show interest in a hooked jack before fading into the depths.
