Last years blitz. A little morning fog to boot.

Going up this weekend. Here is a video from last year at this time. False albies galore. My buddy Dusty is hooked up.

Gearing up for Montauk this week to get in on the early season blitz. Stripers, blues, and albies are all on the menu. It can be crazy. The video shows the fast and furious action in the morning. Unfortunately, I ran out of battery life on the camera by around 10 am. What you don't see is that the fishing actually got better in the afternoon. You know that fishing is good when you take a break to eat a sandwich with fish breaking all around the boat cause you have already caught so many already.

Windy Fishing

Fished with Ted, Mike, and Dan in the back bay. We fished with poppers and covered a lot of ground. Our efforts produced one striper on the flats. The temps need to fall to get the bite to really turn on. Tons of bait in the back.
