More Keeper Fluke

Fished with Carol and Greg yesterday in the ocean for fluke. We headed out to some deep water wrecks in search of some bigger fish. We ended up keeping two nice fluke and releasing a bunch of shorts. We also had a bunch of small blues and some seabass.

Ocean Fluke

Fished with Marc and Richard Tuesday morning in the ocean for fluke. We caught a few keepers to four pounds and released a bunch of shorts.

Stripers in the Wind

Fished with the Mikes on Sunday. It was windy. Very windy. Hard northeast. Most guys would have been worried. Not the Mikes. With those guys the conditions don't matter. We gave it a go and caught and released two nice stripers to 26 inches. We also had a bunch of strikes we missed. Plenty of action.

Stripers on the Flats

Patty and I headed out last night at sunset. We had two stripers and a bluefish on poppers. Even though the water temp was almost 80 degrees the bass still were biting and happy.

Big Fluke

Fished with Barry and family on Thursday. We went fluking in the ocean. We had two keeper fluke. One was about four pounds and the other was about six pounds. We also had done throwbacks as well.

Big Dusky and a Hammerhead

Fished with Brendan and friends on Tuesday for sharks. It started out slow but we pulled it off in the end with a brown shark, a 130 pound plus dusky shark, and a five foot hammerhead shark. The big sharks are in town.

Sharks

Fished with Nick, Mike, and Mike on Friday for sharks. We released a brown shark and a few dusky sharks to sixty pounds. It was a beautiful day. We also saw several hammerhead sharks throughout the day.

21 Keeper Fluke

Fished with Ace and crew today. We caught 21 keeper fluke up to 8 pounds with a five pound average. We had few 7 pounders mixed in. Overall, we easily had over fifty fluke today. It was very good. The big fluke are here. It was no joke today.

Bonita

Fished with Cory and friends yesterday. The goal was to catch some mahi. We fell short. The cooler weather had pushed them off a bit. We did catch four Bonita, an albie, and all the blues we wanted to catch.

Ocean Fluke

Fished with Dave, Dominic, and Sean yesterday afternoon in the ocean. We caught a bunch of fluke, including two keepers over 20 inches. Ocean fluking has been good.

Big Sharks

Fished with Mike and Ryah in the ocean for sharks on Thursday afternoon. We saw a bunch but only hooked three. However, two of the three were over 100 pounds. And no, the one pictured is not 100 pounds....that was the small brown shark we caught. The bottom picture is a big one.

Backbay Fluke

Fished with George, Susan, Hank, and family Thursday morning. We spent the day in the bay catching fluke in the bay. We had one keeper and a bunch of throwbacks.

Fluke and Striper

Fished today with Darryl, John, Kevin, and Joe. We fished in the bay and caught a bunch of fluke, sea bass, and a short striper. The fish if the day was a four pound fluke. In addition, I fished with Tom, Judy, Ed, and Ken on Monday and we had a bunch of fluke including a 3 and 5 pound keeper.

Big Fluke

Fished with Frank and crew yesterday in the ocean. We had five keeper fluke to five pounds and a bunch of shorts. We also had two mahi as well. The ocean and weather was perfect. The ocean fluking has been great.

Bay Fluke

Fished with Mike, Mike, and Kyle today in the bay. We had fun catching short fluke and sea bass. The bite was fast and furious at times.

Back Bay Fluke

Fished with Tom and family yesterday. The fluke in the bay has been great but not many keepers. We released over two dozen fluke plus lots of small seabass.

Shark Action Continues

Fished with Rob and crew on Tuesday afternoon. We went Sharking and the bite was on. We had several dusky releases and a few nice spinner sharks mixed in. The fish of the day was a 60-70 pound spinner shark. We had a few big duskys as well. The average size of these fish is way up lately.

6 Pound Fluke

Fished Mike and crew today for fluke in the ocean. We had great conditions and the fluke chewed. We had some big fluke. The biggest was a six pound fluke. We also had a five and a four pound fluke as well. We caught some bluefish and a bunch of short fluke as well. The ocean fluking is heating up.
