More Islamorada Variety
Fished again with Brooke and Jason. Variety was the word of the day. We caught redfish, jacks, grouper, barracuda, snappers, speckled trout, spanish mackerel, cero mackerel, lizardfish, and more tarpon. We hooked two tarpon today and brought one to boat side. Jason did a great job fighting the fish as it dragged us through a bridge, between pilings, around crab traps, and finally across a flat where we were able to get the release. Lots of jumps. Sorry no pictures. I was running the boat and had my hands full. There may be a video as Brooke was filming.

Redfish!
Fished with Mike again today. The morning was very slow. But things picked up in the afternoon exponentially. We had a couple of nice shots at redfish on the flats early but no takers. Then we moved on a caught over twenty speckled trout and a bunch of ladyfish on the fly. When high tide came around we finally could get to the place I really wanted to fish. Mike caught well over twenty barracudas on the fly. They were not huge but it was every cast for a awhile. There was a school of redfish that repeatedly refused the fly so we switched over to jigs. That was the ticket. We had a blast watching the redfish swim over and eat the jig. We ended up with over ten nice redfish. We finished up the day looking for tarpon. We saw a bunch but no takers.

Snook in the Everglades Video
Here is a short video of one of the nice snook we caught last weekend. It looks very windy in the video but believe it or not it wasn't.

More Islamorada Pics
More pics from this weekend. The redfish chewed well. Dan caught some nice ones. We also saw a bunch of flamingos grazing the flat at low tide (last pic). Pretty cool to see them in the wild.

Super Day in Islamorada
Fished with Dan and Dusty in Islamorada. We crushed the fish today. We had both numbers and size. We started off the day slaying the speckled trout. We moved into the Everglades and caught several big snook and some nice redfish. We finished off the day jumping off a big tarpon, breaking off a huge tarpon, and finally releasing a 70 plus pound tarpon. We caught and released 11 different species of fish. More pics to follow.
