Stripers and Fluke
Fished with the Mikes. We started our morning fishing for stripers since the tide was right. We missed one and released one. We switched over and went fluking. We caught some fluke including one keeper.

Fluke
Fished with Dennis, Alex, and Walt in the bay. We had fun catching fluke. We ended up with one real nice keeper and a bunch of throwbacks. Seabass and sea robins rounded out the morning.
Stripers on the Flats
Fished with John M last night. Perfect tide and conditions. We had an awesome evening with explosive strikes. We brought around eight to the boat and released them to fight another day. We also had a ton of bites that came unbuttoned. It was a great time.

First Striper on the Fly
Fished with Mark tonight. Mark wanted to catch his first striper on the fly. So we did. Mark did a great job and caught his first striper on a floating line and a popper. It was a perfect moment. He followed it up a short time later with another bigger bass. He hooked a third that came unbuttoned halfway through the fight. We had several other pushes from fish that didn't commit. Very cool evening.
Sharking Improves
Fished today with Dave, Matt, and Jack. Sharking had been slow but the boys wanted to go anyway. Persistence pays off because we ended up releasing six sharks to sixty pounds. We also had lots of bites that we missed. Things are coming back around.
4.5 Pound Fluke
Fished in the bay with Ren, Ren, and Ren yesterday. Three generations. We caught a bunch of fluke including a nice 4 1/2 pound fluke. It was a fun afternoon.

Fluke Save the Day
Fished yesterday with Frank, Frank, and crew. Tried to go shark fishing but the heat must have them off because we didn't see any at all. Finished out the day in the bay with a bunch of fluke. You gotta play the cards you're dealt.

Sharks and Fluke
Fished with Nathan, Dennis, Devin, and Alan yesterday. Our hope was to have an epic day sharking. We caught sharks but it wasn't as good as it has been. We brought four to the boat prior to release and missed a few others. When things got slow we switched over to bottom fishing. We caught around five or six fluke with one measurer that was just shy and one nice keeper fluke. We also had a ling.

Flukin' Hot
Well sort of...fished with Dave and company today in the bay. Had a bunch of fun in catchin fluke in the heat. The water actually made it bearable.
Stripers and Blues on the Fly
Fished another night with Mike R. We fished the same conditions as Tuesday night but everything was different for the third night in a row. Where we caught fish before we caught nothing and where we didn't catch fish before we caught fish. Very strange. A bunch of bluefish set it in one spot and we had fun catching them and watching them destroy our flies. We had slightly bigger fish too. We ended up with around 18 small blues and released over 12 stripers to approx 26 or 27 inches. Mike also broke off a bigger bass that was probably over 28 inches when it took him into structure.

Scooby Doo Fog
Fished last night with Greg and Harry. The fog was epic and the fishing wasn't. Everything was the same as the night before but something must have changed because the stripers weren't as cooperative. The beginning of the trip was slow but persistence paid off and we ended up landing 6 stripers at the end of the trip on the fly as well as on lures.

Nighttime Stripers on the Fly
Fished with Mike R. Mike released 24 stripers on the fly in about four hours of fishing. Not too bad. It was late night fishing but the fish chewed well. He made it look easy...the tides will be good for this fishing over the next five nights or so. Great opportunity on the long rod.

The Shark Bite Continues
Fished with Mike R today. We wanted to catch a shark on a fly but it was not meant to be. The fishing was good but the fish did not come to the boat today. We caught around 15 dusky sharks to around 50 pounds.
Sharks
Fished with Dick L., Gary, and Bob yesterday. We released around 25 dusky sharks to 70 pounds. The action was steady all day. Fishing has been great.

The Striper Bite Continues...
The prime tides are beginning to fade away but the fish are still chewing well. Sunset produced several stripers tonight and the fish bit happily. Looks like a night bite next week. We will see...
Shark Attack!
Fished with Ryan, Justin, Brian, Brian, and Adam. We had a great time shark fishing today releasing around 23 dusky sharks to 90 pounds and two brown sharks. The bite continues...

Stripers at Sunset
Fished with Tom S. We fished sunset for bass with poppers. We had a few bites with solid hookups but the fish came unglued. Finally, on the last cast of the day, we got a fish to the boat. Great sunset.
Keeper Fluke
Fished with Dave and Cindy and crew. We drifted the backbay and caught over 20 fluke and we had three keepers to around four pounds. Beautiful day in the bay.
Stripers and Friends
Fished last night with long time client and friend Pete. We had some scary conditions initially with a front that passed just to our south. But technology and a good weather radar gave us the confidence to go. The front passed and clear skies prevailed. We flyfished a little and turned our efforts to the spinning rods. We had perfect tides and the fish responded. The last hour before sunset was key and we released multiple stripers on topwaters while poling the flats.

Stripers on Poppers
Great tides are just starting for striper fishing on the flats. Snuck out to scout out the fish on the top of the tide. These tides will continue for the next week or so. Sunset is the key.

Sharks on the Fly!
Fished with Peter and Ona and crew. We landed 15 dusky sharks on the fly to over 50 pounds. We also landed an additional 10 dusky sharks to 60 plus pounds on bait. That is a total of 25. We had more than a few double headers and had as many as eight sharks in the slick at a time. This is truly epic fishing and as good as it gets. Very, very cool. Video to follow. If we pushed it we could have easily caught over forty fish.

Sharks are Thick
Fished today with Joe, Drew, and crew. Took a little while to get them going but once they started it was one right after another. We were hooked up almost the entire time. We released 2 blacktips and 16 dusky sharks to over 90 pounds. We even had to chase the last fish of the day and that fish was almost 100 pounds! Those numbers do not include breakoffs or pulled hooks. Awesome action close to home.
