Montauk Monday

Fished with the same crew Monday. Lost count of the albies in the morning. Caught a bunch of blues as well pushing ten pounds. The stripers cooperated later in the day and we had a bunch of fish to about 16 pounds or so. Videos will follow. It was a spectacle.

  1. This was the first salt water fishing trip I've taken in my life, and it most likely will end up being one of the best.  Can't say enough about  Captain Joe for not only finding the best locations to be in to make for a 60+ catch day, but also for giving pointers on simple techniques that made it possible for our count to be that high.  I came in as a novice with little experience, and ended that day feeling like I could hold my own on the water....we won’t mention the three reels I blew up….which Captain Joe patiently took care of :  )

Captain Joe’s knowledge about everything related to fishing, calm approach to teaching skills and overall welcoming demeanor, truly did help to make this a memorable fishing outing.  I traveled over six hours to get to Montauk, NY and I highly recommend others making this trip when Captain Joe says the time is right.  I am certain I will be making this an annual outing.
