Flats Stripers

Fished tonight with Scott in the bay. We hit the tide perfect and found the stripers chewing well at sunset. Scott started off by catching a nice bluefish on the flyrod. We switched over to poppers and Scott caught and released about six stripers to around 27". We also had several other bites that never came tight. Watching bass smack a top water plug never gets old!

Shark Blitz!

Fished today with Lori, Brecan, Luke, and Ryan in the ocean for sharks. We found them and then some! Shortly after we got started we had a full on shark blitz behind the boat. We caught and released around fifteen spinner, brown, and dusky sharks to about 100 pounds. The spinners were active today and lots of them took to the air with some amazing arial acrobatics. Lots of jumps today. Tons of fun!

It was every cast once we found them. After that we continued our search and Anthony caught a nice ten pound mahi on a live bait.

Sunset Stripers

Patty, Ryan, Brady, and I hit the flats at sunset last night. The tides are perfect this week. The stripers chewed well and we caught a few and had a bunch of bites.

Inshore Trolling

Fished with Mark and Dominic on Tuesday. Dominic wanted to mix it up a bit so we headed out to try some inshore trolling. We caught some small blues and false albacore. The fish of the day was a 12 pound mahi. Then we headed in and caught some short fluke that we released. Dominic also caught a big triggerfish that was over five pounds. Quite the variety. Thunderstorms chased us home to end the day.
