Ten Sharks

Fished with Jim, Connor, Patrick, and Carter yesterday for sharks. We had ten releases. Most of the sharks were duskys with a few browns mixed in. The fish of the day was a sixty pound dusky. Great conditions!

Fluke Action

Fished with Mike and family yesterday morning. It was Mike's birthday and he wanted to catch a bunch of fluke in the bay so we did. We had constant action all morning. The fish of the day was a nice keeper fluke for Mike. The weather has been great and the fish have been biting.

12 Plus One Sharks

Fished today with Brett, Bob, and crew in the ocean for sharks. We started off strong and had bites right away. We had over twelve dusky sharks today up to sixty pounds. The bite was great. Tons of fun. By the way, that shark is not as close to him in the picture as it looks!!!

4 1/2 Pound Fluke

Fished today with Charlie, Mike, and Marisol. We fluked fished in the bay and caught a bunch of shorts. We moved out into the ocean and caught the fish of the trip. Mike came through again with a beautiful 4 1/2 pound fluke. He also had a double header fluke earlier in the day in the bay.

Big Sharks

Fished today with Jeff and family for sharks. We released four dusky sharks. One was over 100 pounds and another was around 80 pounds. Real nice fish.

Sharking Continues

Fished Saturday with Tom and Mike. We had four dusky shark releases and one was on the fly.

Inshore Sharking

Fished with John and family for sharks in the ocean. We had a great day releasing fifteen dusky sharks to sixty pounds. The action was great!

Sharks

Fished with Jim yesterday afternoon for sharks in the ocean. We released duskys to sixty pounds. It was a gorgeous afternoon with a great breeze. The water has been beautiful over the last few days.

4 1/2 Pound Fluke

Fished with Glen, Adam, Michele, and Colleen yesterday. We fished for fluke in the bay. The action has been great and we released close to thirty fish in four hours. The fish of the day was a beautiful 4 1/2 pound fluke that was about 23".

Sharks on the Fly

Fished with Jim and Mimi yesterday. We went to catch a bunch of sharks on the Flyrod and we did! We caught and released ten dusky sharks on the fly. The biggest was a little over fifty pounds. We also pulled the hook on another shark near the boat. Great ten weight fishing. Beginner to expert fly fishermen will enjoy this fishing. It's a great way to brush up on your big fish fighting skills. Bring a reel with a good drag....

Sharks

Fished Monday morning with Joe and family. We went sharking in the ocean. We had two spinner sharks, several dusky sharks, and one brown shark. The biggest dusky was close to sixty pounds. Shark fishing usually lasts until the end of August.

Flats Stripers

Dad, Patty, Ryan, and I headed out for a bit to catch a striper. We did. We did not have much time, so we caught one and headed back home. They are there to be caught on the fly and on the spinning rod.

Family Fishing

Fished with Tony, Lucas, Chris, and Mark in the bay. We had fluke everywhere we went and had a great time. Lots of fish to be caught.

Fluke and Seabass

Fished with Kevin and Zack. We started in the bay and caught a bunch of fluke. We decided to head out in the ocean for a bit and we caught a few seabass and a fluke.

The Stanley Cup

Today I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I was asked to transport the Stanley Cup by John and Stacy Stevens to LA Kings player and Stanley Cup MVP Justin Williams by boat. Yes that is the real Stanley Cup. What an amazing experience. More pictures and post to follow.
