Fluke
Fished with Bill yesterday morning. Conditions were good and they bit well early. We caught a bunch of shorts and scratched out three keeper fluke. Just enough breeze to keep the bugs off!

Eleven Keeper Fluke
Fished today with the Mikes. Their karma is so good you always know it will be a good day. We ended up with eleven keeper fluke. Two were five pounds. We released a bunch of shorts today. It's been a weird bite but we ground out a great day.
Memorial Day Weekend Fluke
Fished yesterday with three generations of John. We had two keepers and a bunch of throwbacks. It started off strong but slowed as the tide quit. We also had a small bass eat on the wind up. It's always fun to see a youngster catch his first fluke!

Swedish Fish
Well I have now seen something new. It started out as an inside joke with young Sean a few years ago and now it might not be so absurd after all. He wanted to catch fish on Swedish Fish. I wasn't optimistic but I humored him. Fishing was terrific on Sunday and it was one after another. Sean wanted to try his Swedish fish again. We rigged one on a jig head and it worked! He caught a fluke on his second cast and I know he missed some other bites. The next big thing??? Probably not, but never say never!

Blues, All You Want...
Fished today with Darryl, Sean, and Jenna in the bay. We fished at the intersection of ridiculous and absurd. Without any exaggeration, we released well over 100 bluefish today and about fifteen fluke. The blues were up to six pounds. I literally never went more than about three minutes without releasing a fish for five hours. We had lots of doubles and several triple headers during the day. It was about as good as it gets. At one point, Sean wanted to try and catch a fish on a Swedish Fish (yes, the candy)...and he did. I post those pictures in another post.
Fly Rod Day in the Bay
Fished yesterday with Chris, Mike, and Nick. We were out to catch the blues on the fly. We caught several nice bluefish on the fly. We also caught a bunch of blues and fluke on jigs.

Flyrod Blues
Fished today with Ed and Mike. We caught fluke, weakfish, and blues. Most of the fish were caught on jigs and we had some blues on the fly as well. The fish of the day were a six plus pound weakfish and a five and a half pound fluke.
First Bluefish
Fished with Dick on Friday evening. We caught the first bluefish of the year. They are running way late. We also had weakfish and fluke in good numbers. The fish of the day was a 24" four and a half pound fluke. It was foggy but very fishy.

The Bite is On!
Dad, Joe, and I headed out yesterday afternoon. The bite was on and the trout and fluke bit well. It was a steady pick of nice flounder and big weakfish on jigs. Some of the weakfish were close to eight pounds. The evening bite looks good this week. Give me a call if you're interested.

7 Pound Fluke 7 pound Weakfish
Fished with Bonnie and Mark today in the bay. Finally, a nice day with no wind. And they bit well. The fish of the day were a 7 pound, 26 inch fluke that Bonnie muscled in and a few 7 pound weakfish that Mark caught. We caught well over a dozen fluke with several over three pounds. We also caught about ten big weakfish. It was good. I'm open tomorrow...
